At the mid-point between what you’ll find in a northern Rhone Syrah and an Australian Syrah, you’ll find this wine. It shines a slightly translucent garnet color. An evenly integrated nose of pepper, graphite, blackberry and tree bark greets the nose. With supple to lively juicy blackberry fruit over the aromas, it’s perfect with assertive dishes that make use of flavorful marinades and spices.
Here you have a combination of the bright, concentrated jammy fruit and peppery spice you experience in an Australian Shiraz but with all the dark fruit and earthiness you expect from a northern Rhone Syrah.
90.51% 12 Lodi Syrah, 9.49% 13 Ruby Cabernet, 14.6% alcohol
Lodi-Woodbridge is a region where sandy loam soils and cool delta breezes from San Francisco Bay make for ideal growing conditions.

Ordered 2 bottles, that’s how much I loved it! Smooth, with no bad aftertaste. Syrah is one of my favorite reds.
This is a very good red wine.
5 star!
Definitely earthy. One of the best Syrahs I have ever tasted!
I thought it was good, but I’m not much on red wine. Not something I would have often.
I do not drink much red wine and had never had a Syrah. I loved it. It was definitely distinct and had a nice earthy taste. I am sensitive to the tannins in red wine and had only a little issue with this. I loved it!
I really liked this wine. The bouquet was wonderful and I like the fact that it had a very distinct taste. I found it to be spicy which I like. Terrific.
