Ain't No Stopping Us Now is the theme we carried throughout the Harvest Year. And trust us, ain't no stopping us EVER! We are on the move! We’ve got the groove! (And now we have pictures to prove it). Our Chief Grape Stomper Welcome Reception set the tone for the weekend, as we dusted off our disco threads and boogied down to the best of the 70s.

From great Trainers to Leaders in their field, our Keynote Speakers were some of the best in the world and totally rocked it!

Julie Anne Jones

Industry Leading Trainer and Life Coach

We were thrilled to have Julie Anne Jones join Traveling Vineyard as the keynote speaker for Harvest 2013. She fueled our minds on topics such as personal development, leadership, recruiting, party presentation and host coaching in an entertaining and fun training experience. We loved her!

"The fortune is in the follow up."

"Make sure your space energetically serves you”

"If you are not building a team you are only getting HALF your pay check!"

Adolfo Franco

Executive Vice President, Direct Selling Association

It was exciting to welcome Adolfo Franco, to speak on behalf of the Direct Selling Association. Adolf reminded us of the significance of our DSA membership as part of a dynamic and growing industry (31 billion dollars in sales last year!). The DSA’s job is to promote, police and protect its members and the direct selling industry as whole. This is significant – especially for Traveling Vineyard, as we are working within a highly regulated industry.

Nancy Golya

Direct Sales Business Accelerator

Harvest 2013 officially kicked off with a special Leadership workshop with Direct Sales Business Accelerator, Nancy Goyla. We were thrilled to see both seasoned veterans and rising leaders eager to grow their team and business.

In Honor of Paigeann

Rick gave a beautifully touching presentation remembering Paigeann Mapley-Brittle, a Traveling Vineyard wine consultant who passed away in November, 2012 after a battle with breast cancer. In Paigeann’s honor, he introduced the 2011 Rayado, Cabernet Sauvignon, Colchagua Valley, Chile in conjunction with Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC). LBBC is a non-profit that empowers all women affected by breast

You can find out more about LBBC here.

The Grand Wine Tasting

The grand wine tasting with our Wine Director, Francis Sanders, has always been a highlight for consultants at Harvest. Going through each wine with the very guy that created it, truly takes the tasting experience to the next level. This year consultants had the opportunity to sample 12! different wines – many that were flown in straight from the tanks for this special occasion.

The Power of Pairing

All of us at World Headquarters spent long hours working on a super-secret project that was finally revealed at Harvest: Sommology. The concept of Sommology was presented and consultants in attendance got a sneak peek into the game changing way we can present fun and “edutaining” techniques for customers to appreciate Traveling Vineyard wine(s) with complimentary food flavors and food ingredients. Sommology takes the expert teachings of molecular food and wine combinations and translates them into simple and ideal harmonies between food and wine to create power AHA! guest moments. Consultants that attended Harvest will serve as our beta testers as we begin our Sommology journey this fall!

Wicked Awesome Scavenger Hunt

While not an officially sponsored Traveling Vineyard Event, we couldn't skip over the amazing pictures from this year's Wicked Awesome Scavenger Hunt. Even the rain wasn't Stoppin' the Grape Stompers from hunting all over Boston for historic landmarks and fun pictures.

Special thanks to Deb, Kiersten, Tanya, and Penny for your hard work.

The weekend culminated in the Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony. With everyone dressed to the nines and the Motor Booty Affair supplying all the sweet grooves, everyone danced the night away as the perfect end to a great weekend.

Don't Just take it from us, here is what you said!

Outstanding speakers, new friendships, and let's not forget the wine! I can't believe how much TTV invests in and listens to their consultants! Harvest was a world class event that has inspired me to take control and grow my business even further! I love everything about TTV and Harvest is just the icing on the cake!
The highlight of Harvest for me was the wine tasting with Francis. It was so exciting to taste unfinished wine! I am such a wine geek, that really thrilled me. Most people never have that experience. To really, really smell the different notes in the wine was amazing. Barnyard? Yep! Wood shavings? Yep! Talk about getting lessons from a master - that was it.
Meeting my fellow consultants was another obvious highlight. All of a sudden, I have a new group of friends in my life - just wonderful!
And? Sommology. Oh.My.God. I cannot wait!
My favorite quote is, "The fortune is in the follow up." I also loved the bell idea (not sure who stood up and said it). Where she has small prizes in bags with tissue paper and raffles them off. She gives each person one ticket but if they book a tasting she gives them 5 more tickets. LOVE THIS IDEA! Then when she loses their attention she rings the bell to do a raffle. Genius! Thanks again for a memorable time. LOVED IT!
It is clear that the Chief Grapestomper puts his heart and soul into planning this annual event. The best part about Harvest is seeing the joy on his face when he gets to make a presentation or celebrate the success of a consultant.
The next best thing about Harvest is getting to meet other consultants. This year was amazing because there were twice as many as last year and they are truly inspirational.
The venue and the speakers are top notch, you can tell much consideration is given to the whole event. Our World headquarters works hard and always makes us feel special!!! They give us the best tools possible to contribute to our success!!
Harvest was AMAZING!!! I took away so many great things from Harvest that I plan to implement in my business immediately!! I realized that following up is key to a successful business. One of the quotes that was mentioned by Julie Anne Jones was: "The fortune is in the follow-up". I realize now that is so true.
My favorite quote was “ Don’t should all over yourself” and make sure your space “energetically serves you”
TTV is more like a family with Rick more like a father figure than a CEO;...Julie Anne Jones gave us a whole bunch of stuff to put into practice: the hot, cool and cold spots of our office and our computer; how to manage emails.... It was super meeting and hearing from people who have been with TTV longer than us and how they recruit new members to build their team.
"The highlight for me was getting to know my team members better and experiencing Harvest through their eyes. I had so much FUN with them and have not laughed that hard in a long time!!! I loved tasting all of the amazing wines we are getting this Fall (12!) and thankful that TTV gives us a product that sells itself! Rick and everyone at World HQ did an awesome job of making us feel welcome, appreciated and recognized!"
One of my favorite things about Harvest was meeting fellow consultants! When I arrived at Harvest, I was feeling a little lost and very alone! I can't tell you how many people have invited me to their "team groups", to regional meetings and who have just reached out. I am overwhelmed at the support we all offer each other! It's such an amazing group of people!!
First, thanks to everyone for a great Harvest! It was a very fun, inspiring weekend! I think one of the highlights for me was from Julie Anne Jones: letting people know at the beginning of the tasting what you expect. Let them chat & have fun, but make sure you have their attention during your booking and recruiting talks. The other awesome thing was being able to attend the leadership training and having a one on one call with Nancy Golya, it really refocused my thoughts and energy from harvest and gave me a clear plan of action.
My head is still whirling with new ideas and changes I want to implement into my personal business and changes I want to institute within my team. The motivation, the energy, the excitement that is contained in one room is priceless. You can't bottle that (unfortunately) but it's enough of a driving force to keep that momentum going for many months and carry your business to the next level and beyond! I had many new team members attend Harvest for the first time and they have all said they will be back next year. I have always said once you attend harvest, you will never miss another one.
The facebook posts, the harvest recap, the pictures.... it doesn't do justice to actually attending in person and shaking hands, hugging and sharing goals, the live training, and the genuine new friends that you will make when you make that investment and leap of faith to attend Harvest. So start saving $10 from each tasting and get your butt to Boston next year! We are counting on you and can't wait to toast with you!

“Don’t 'should' all over yourself”

- Julie Anne Jones

Thank you to all of those that attended Harvest 2013. We are already working on making Harvest 2014 bigger and better! Stay tuned for details.
