Fissata Sweet Red

Fizzy, Fruity, and Fabulous

Translucent, dark watermelon red in color, this release opens with floral, sweet-ish stone fruit over a raspberry-ish nose. A well-integrated palate of sweet fruity red berries and a nutty quality are repeated in the mouth. Gentle effervescence makes for an overall pleasing dessert wine experience.

Why We Love It

This Girl is on Fire

This sweet sensation has been our top seller since the beginning of Traveling Vineyard time. Fun, fizzy and festive - it's dessert in a glass. (Warning: Also pairs delightfully with any sweet treat.)

Sommology Tool Rocks!

Fissata Red appears to be a Traveling Vineyard favorite and it is no wonder. One of the best pairings was our sweet and fizzy frizzante with pungent blue cheeses and dark chocolate covered walnuts! Found them in the bulk section at Sprouts. The three blends in this wine love the harsh winters and are used quite often in jams and jellies. Baco Noir was once commonly grown in the Burgundy and Loire regions in France and are on about the same latitude as Hammondsport, NY (Fingerlakes Region). Due to regulations this varietal is now restricted from commercial use in France. It is a generally used in a blend. Was hesitant to pair the blue cheeses and the dark chocolate walnuts but I trusted my Sommology tools and WOW!

Favorite Wine Ever!

My favorite wine! This red head is the best wine to drink if your a sweet wine lover. I can easily drink a full bottle before bed. I love to add ice cream to it for a float when it is a hot summer day. I have so many friends that love to keep this bottle stocked in their inventory at all times.

Delicious

This is one of my favorites, it is the first wine I tasted and it's not too sweet. I am not a red wine fanatic but this is my go-to!

My Favorite Wine

I am not typically a sweet wine person. When I pick out wines for myself I am always looking for one thing on the label: dry. But this one surprised me, and is now one of my favorite wines to drink and sell!

Repeat favorite

Fissata Red is not only my favorite but also usually a fan favorite at tastings that I’ve been to. And the fact that it goes so well with ice cream is perfect

Fissata Where have you been all of my life?

Fissata is 100% hands down the best sweet red I have ever had. I love serving wine floats for dessert or a fun afternoon treat.
