Rayado Cabernet Sauvignon

2021 – Sustainably and responsibly grown

Rayado hails from Chile’s Central Valley and showcases dark berry fruit concentration with a touch of herbal freshness. Medium full-bodied with a long finish, this 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon is elegant and intense at the same time. Pair it with an elegant steak dinner, or sip with all things mint chocolate. We give with love $1 from the sale of each bottle of Rayado to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.

Winemaking
Winemaking

Our Chilean winemaking has evolved towards all traditional red wine vinification: cold soaking, alcoholic fermentation with pump-overs plus manual cap punch downs. Most of the Cabernet components were aged on their lees for six months in tank, in contact with French oak inner-staves, then aged in older French and American oak barrels.

Why We Love It

Sip With A Purpose

Our Rayado Cabernet Sauvignon has the distinction of being Traveling Vineyard’s flagship charity wine. It was originally launched in 2014 in honor of Traveling Vineyard Wine Guide Paigeann Mapley-Brittle who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2013. At that time, we did not know the wide-ranging impact this label would have, or that it would come to represent the beautiful life and legacy of another Wine Guide and friend, Rebecca Nadler, who lost her battle with breast cancer in November 2019. We dedicate this vintage to Rebecca, and we give with love $1 from the sale of each bottle of Rayado to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.

A new fave!

Cabernet is not usually a go-to red for this red loving girl, but I really enjoy this vintage of Rayado. The hint of smokey bacon is delicious and I’ve taken to having a glass of this with little cubes of Gouda and gruyere on a Sunday afternoon, yum.

It's a favorite

I love this wine once it's been decanted for a while, the whole flavor profile changed and quickly became a favorite of mine.

Your morning wine

If you like coffee you'll like this wine. Pairs well with a coffee rubbed steak or Tiramisu. Who says you can't have wine in the morning. Lol.

Rayado is my favorite Traveling Vineyard wine!! It is earthy with a little spice and a little smokiness. Perfect for snuggling up under a blanket on a chilly day with a book or in front of a fire. One to stock up on!!

I love this wine!

Every vintage of Rayado has been incredible!! It has a spicy, smoky kinda vibe to it. When it was first released, it had some bacon undertones to it. OMG yum! Try this Cab, you will not regret it!!!

Smoky and Bold

Rayado is currently my favorite red. I love the smoky smell and taste. I taste bacon and smoked gouda up front and then taste notes of chocolate and coffee. I love relaxing by a fire and sipping this wine.

This cab will grab your attention!

All the amazing flavors of a bold cabernet sauvignon with added earthy and smoky aromas make both cab lovers and syrah fans take note at first sip. Pairs deliciosly with a steak but great as an appetizer wine too with smoke gouda and fantastic to pair with a decadent chocolate dessert too! One of the best vintages yet!
