State Room Cabernet Sauvignon

2016 – Full bodied, complex red

Inky garnet hues in the glass. Aromas of mocha, black currant and cassis on the nose. The palate bursts with juicy cassis and black fruits. Some earthy notes. Medium-to-full bodied, nice structure and medium tannins.

Sad Cabernet

I regret purchasing this Cabernet. I usually only drink cab, and felt this was a watered down , nearly tasteless version with little body that is standard of Cabernet.

This was a very filling dry red wine. We enjoyed our first taste of the Traveling Vineyard wines!

Love this wine. It's great with a food pairing or just to sip.

Very good Cab

The smell is delicious, fruity and spicy. Smells like Christmas was my first thought. It's a bit tart but opening it up with the magic decanter made it much smoother.

A very young, tight wine

The first bottle I opened, first taste was very pucker, and very tannic. After decanting, then letting it breathe for over 30 minutes, the wine became much more drinkable and took on some nice flavorful notes. Not terribly oaky, but good all around, and would work well with dishes with a tomato base, or with a lot of spice. Would probably pair well with a good steak, too. I would definitely age the other bottle I have a bit longer, and have already made notes that it should be opened and decanted before serving.

Light but a little sour

Nice texture to the wine and right amount of dryness. However, it has a sourness to its taste.

Fabulous

The wine is superb!
However, there was a screwup on the shipping. It took me forever to get to a UPS site to pick it up.
