How much will I earn, and how will I get paid?
Your paycheck is based on the wine you market! The more you market each month, the more you can earn! Our Wine Guides can earn up to 35% on their personal volume from wine tastings, REWINED subscriptions and online shopping cart orders each month, and additional bonuses should you choose to share Traveling Vineyard and invite others to your team. You’re paid via direct deposit three times each month, so you’re never waiting long to see your paycheck!
Do I need to be good at sales to be a Wine Guide?
Our Wine Guides are community builders – they facilitate fun, free wine tastings for friends, family and their communities. You do not need to be a salesperson to be a successful Wine Guide – just get ready to have fun, meet new people, and learn more about wine!
Are there minimum requirements to stay active?
We don’t have any sales minimums to maintain your status as a Wine Guide. We have a $15.95 fee that you pay each month to remain active, but we do not require that you sell every month to continue to be a part of our Wine Guide community!
What states do you operate in?
Traveling Vineyard’s business opportunity is currently available in 38 states, including: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming. What about the legal stuff? Do I need a liquor license or TIPS certification?
As a Wine Guide, you do not need a liquor license. In some states you are required to apply for a license, but our friendly World Headquarters Cheerleaders will provide you with all you need to know. Wine Guides also have their hosts sign a host responsibility letter, outlining the specifics of a tasting and what’s expected with the consumption of alcohol.
What costs will I have?
Our costs are low. Your initial expense is either $99 or $179 for your Success Kit. It includes all your training materials as well as everything you need for your first two tastings. After the first two events, you replace the wine for your tasting sets – at $75 per set – BUT if your event met the standards for a ‘qualified event’ (which is determined by the orders you collect), we credit you the cost of your next set. A successful tasting means a free tasting set. Finally, when you join, we set you up with your very own, personalized Wine Guide website. The first three months of hosting your website are free, after which there is a $15.95 monthly fee.
What kind of time commitment should I expect?
That’s entirely up to you. There are training modules to complete and events to schedule, arrange, and attend, but you decide your own pace. Most events tend to fall on evenings or weekends and last just a few hours. Take a look at your schedule now. What kind of time commitment do you want to make?
What kind of training is available?
We don’t expect any of our Guides to be wine experts. That’s why we’ve developed a great training program. First, you’re assigned a mentor who is always available to answer questions, cheer you on, and hand out advice. Second, part of your Success Kit it is our Sommology Kit which teaches you all the basics of wine tasting, food and wine pairings, and what you need to know about our wines, specifically. (It even includes info cards that most Guides take along to their tastings.) Finally, we have online training modules that teach you more about wine, about recruiting and running your team, and planning for the future of your business—all at your own pace.
