When I decided to become a Wine Guide, I was a brand new mom. Traveling Vineyard was an opportunity for me to meet new people, make some extra money, and learn more about wine. Two years later, I have found that it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! I’ve become part of such a wonderful community and have made so many amazing friendships. I can’t wait to see what the next two years bring.

I am so thrilled to have the ability to call being a wine guide my job!! For 18 years I have learned, laughed, grown, and achieved goals that weren’t available to me in my other jobs. Fulfillment, true friends that become family and earning a paycheck on my own time and schedule is still a dream come true.

I have learned so much since becoming a wine guide two years ago. I have tried (and loved) varietals that I had never even heard of before. I love sharing my love and knowledge of wine with friends and family. The best part is that I can do it on my own time. I’m a busy mom, but being a wine guide fits right in with my crazy life.

I’ve been with TV for 9 years!! During this time, I’ve taking hiatuses and also worked super hard. 1 of the best things about TV is the ability to take a break. Our cheerleaders are 2nd to none!! So much support, love and friendships forever!! Working full time at AZ MVD and working my wine biz is very fulfilling. Thank you to all for allowing me MY way to work my biz!!

It’s officially been 4 years since I started this journey. The plan was for this to be my source of income until my non-profit was stable to pay me. It hasn’t worked out that way but I keep trying and one of these days it will happen. I’m just grateful that the company allows me the ability to do this at my pace.

Joining the Traveling Vineyard was a great choice for me. After retiring 5 years ago, I decided I wanted a little more income than my retirement was providing. My children have grown and no longer need all my attention. My circle of friends had diminished somewhat because I don't see them everyday as in before. I needed a new chapter and am so glad I found the Traveling Vineyard. It has taught me so much, and provided opportunities that I would not have had if I had just taken a part time job somewhere else. This allows me to work when I want, where I want and IF I want. I never knew I even liked wine until I joined and learned the reason I didn't like wine was because I didn't know how to drink wine and appreciate the flavors I was missing. I have met so many people that I would not have known. I never tire of hearing "it's Sharie, the wine lady" when in public. Meeting up with other wine guides at meetings is invigorating and always gives me an extra boost when I need it. The energy from this group helps to keep me going. I'm a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Sometimes I need that energy and can always count on my wine family to help me, either in person or the grapevine. I wish I would have found this sooner. Oh, and the extra income is nice also. Yes, I love my wine guide life

It's really hard to nail just one reason down, as to what I love most about The Traveling Vineyard! As a single mom of 3 very busy, travel sportin', kids I love that I can do events when it works for me. The months where events are lower due to other commitments, I focus on ramping up my recruiting efforts; growing and mentoring my team. I love the financial rewards! Where else can you make your own schedule and still make $50+ an hour?! Between guests, hosts and other wine guides, I have met so many wonderful people that I now call my friend. I love getting know each and everyone of my team members, which are all over the nation. When I started with TTV all I really wanted was a free trip (this mama was wore out!) and I earned it for 2 in like 5-6 months. And the next year for 1. While I'd love to still be earning those free trips, being a single mom, my world is pulled in every direction with my kids (not to mention a FT job), so while the trips would be amazing, right now TTV is supporting hockey and fastpitch fees, weekend travel expenses and equipment, without me having to stress or live off a strict budget because I know TTV will have me covered! I love that I can adjust "working hours" the month prior to our travels to ensure that I've increased or maintained based on that month's needs.

I never thought when I started with Traveling Vineyard 3 years ago that it would blossom in a full time career and a job that I love doing! How many people could say that about their current job or even the part time job they work that pays for the extras in life?! The flexibility that Traveling Vineyard offers allows me to make my own schedule that fits my family's needs and myself. Speaking of family, is exactly how I would describe the friendships I've made while being a wine guide with other wine guides and even host and their guest too. No more Monday blues and painful hours watching the clock tick backwards! It's cheering on your best friend because they received a promotion or the CEO Rick Libby being a genuine person who always can check both boxes of being good for the company but also good for us as wine guides. He is the true backbone of a company with having that mindset that cares about you and not always the almighty dollar. I'm so thankful I stubbled upon Traveling Vineyard because I never knew what I was missing out on in life, till I was finally able to have the life I have now. I love being a wine guide, best friend, and my own boss at the end of the day!! Thank you for the opportunity of being apart of this amazing company!

I absolutely love being a Wine Guide! When I started my Traveling Vineyard adventure three years ago, I had no idea what was in store for me and my family. I joined with the intention of making some extra money to fill some financial gaps while my husband pursued a new career...however, as I grew my business and my team I was rewarded with much more than financial compensation! I developed life-long friendships, reconnected with friends from my past, had a ton of fun at my events on on free vacations that I achieved! The flexibility to run my Traveling Vineyard business alongside my full-time career and family is the best! I can work as much or as little as I need to meet my personal goals! Becoming a Traveling Vineyard Wine Guide was a great decision, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

After 4 years I still love Traveling Vineyard as much if not more! I have learned to appreciate wine more, I have made a lot of new friends and I love the flexibility of scheduling of wine tastings based on MY time which is not easy with 4 active children! My Traveling Vineyard business also helps pay for their activities and other fun things for them like season passes to Busch Gardens and Water Country! And I LOVE the wines! Win-win for wine-wine!

Being a wine guide has been so much more than I ever expected... my Wine Dad and I have gotten to be wonderful friends and I always love chatting with him and his support is everything I've ever wanted. I have met so many incredible people during my tastings and my guests always make the events the most fun... fun and friends were my main reasons for joining and I've definitely gained both of those in the last year!

For me the wine guide life flexibility has been the best. I am able to work a full time job and do tasting for fun! It's a great way to meet new people, earn a little extra money, and all while trying some tasty wines! Can't beat it!

I joined Traveling Vineyard on Jan. 1 last year, and I am SO GLAD I went for it!! 2016 was such a fun and amazing year for me thanks to this business! I joined just because it seemed like a fun way to earn some extra money. I own a travel agency, and was just planning to do the wine business on the side. But this business has absolutely exploded for me, and I actually earned more money in my first year as a Wine Guide than I earned last year from the travel agency I've had for 7 years! I've also noticed a big change in myself personally since I've started this business. I've always been pretty self-conscious and introverted, but my success with this business has really brought me out of my shell and given me a ton of confidence that I never had before. There's nothing I love more now than getting up in front of a room full of people and talking about wine!

Where to begin...... I quit my teaching job of 21 years and needed to make a few bucks! I had previous direct sales experience but felt like in Indiana the market was flooded with consultants. I kept looking to sell wine but Indiana liquor laws prevented it! I kept a watchful eye and in January....boom......it changed! The rest is history....I love love love to be a wine guide. I make great commission and get paid to drink and be social.....what else is there???

One year ago, I stated my journey with Traveling Vineyard. I started because I needed something just for me, a break from the seriousness of my job. My goal was to learn more about wine, make a little extra cash. So those goals are met, but so much more has happened. I have met some great new friends (my wine groupies) and I'm making 2 car payments a month meeting new people, & sharing great wine with them! How great is that!
