When I decided to become a Wine Guide, I was a brand new mom. Traveling Vineyard was an opportunity for me to meet new people, make some extra money, and learn more about wine. Two years later, I have found that it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! I’ve become part of such a wonderful community and have made so many amazing friendships. I can’t wait to see what the next two years bring.

I originally joined Traveling Vineyard as a means of supplementing income for my husband and me. When I learned of Traveling Vineyard, he was on unemployment at the time. We had been married less than two years, had recently sold his house in a negatively impacted economy, downsizing into my house to avoid foreclosure, and had two sets of bills we were trying to pay off. I had also finished an MBA program and had the itch to own my own business but wasn't sure what I wanted or what I could afford to do. Along comes Traveling Vineyard - pair that with my desire for a home business, my love of wine, and my need for additional income, and my world was changed forever! While I've had my share of personal ups and downs in life along the way, having the flexibility to work when I need to or as much as I wanted to helped my husband and I to pay off bills, save money on the side to build a new home, and supplement expenses for family vacations so we could give our son a happy life filled with great memories of times spent together. Having a full-time job and being a wife and mother doesn't leave much time for anything else, but Traveling Vineyard is a part of my life where I get to have fun, meet new people, make friends, learn about and drink amazing wines, and be my own boss! After 5 years with this company, I'm proud of how far I've come in building this business. I've overcome many obstacles along the way as a result of the strength I have drawn from my accomplishments, and I hope to continue my journey, learning, growing, and doing GRAPE things in the years to come.

I started with the Traveling Vineyard because I love wine and wanted to make a little extra money. It's turned out to be everything I wanted it to be plus so much more!
First, I've learned so much about wine! My thirst for knowledge about wine is being fulfilled in such a hands on way! There are so many resources but one of my best resources are my fellow wine guides. They are a wealth of information.
And speaking of my fellow wine guides.... they are my friends now! I've met them in person at Harvest, at Regional and even on Facebook. If I have a question, or just need a boost, they are right there to support me. Our Facebook groups are amazing because even if World Headquarters is closed, inevitably, someone online has the answer to pretty much any issue I am trying to solve.
So, I've made some cash, earned some prizes, made some friends, whether they are my hosts and their friends or my wine sister and brothers, AND, tasted lots of great food and wine! What's not to like? How about the fact that there is NO PRESSURE, no minimums and I can work, if you can call it that, at my own pace. It's the perfect gig for me!

I am so grateful for having found The Traveling Vineyard. First of all, I love wine. So, to have the opportunity to learn more about it and share it with others, it has just been so much fun! I started doing this because I am a full-time student and was unable to work a full-time desk job anymore. It has been such a blessing to be able to make my own schedule, do something that I love, and make money while doing it! Also, if I get really busy with school and am unable to have a tasting for a couple months, I am still able to have tastings without any penalty!! So, thank you TTV for this amazing opportunity to be part of your team! P.S. Lori Stryker is AMAZING. I love the feeling of being part of a family in this company and Lori definitely keeps that vibe amongst her team. So thanks, again!

As a stay at home homeschooling mother of three kids, I was looking for an opportunity to get out of the house. I love wine, love get-togethers, wanted to make money and wanted some time to myself. Traveling Vineyard has allowed me to get out, meet people, taste and learn about amazing wine, and make money! I am so happy to be a part of Traveling Vineyard!

Four years ago, today, I decided to join the Traveling Vineyard. I’d never worked in direct sales before so really didn’t have any expectations other than making money in order to provide my daughter with a grand wedding. I did a lot of research because I didn’t know what I wanted to do in order to supplement my F/T salary. I chose Traveling Vineyard for three reasons, the product is open to men and women, it’s a consumable product and I didn’t have to keep spending money to fill a kit. Honestly, I thought I would do this for a little while, earn some cash, have a big wedding and get out. What I didn’t expect was to fall in love, to find a new purpose for my life and to be passionate about what I was doing. During my last four years with Traveling Vineyard I discovered and earned many things I was not expecting. I have made some incredible life long friends, I discovered by growing a team and moving into a leadership role I have been blessed with a new purpose in life and that is empowering, supporting and mentoring others to find their dream job. I love the support I am able to provide people all across the United States and watch them thrive and become entrepreneurs. I love watching them provide a better life for themselves and their families. I feel truly fulfilled with this ‘job’. We are free to earn whatever we want! I thought I would just be paying for a wedding, now I’m paying off college debt from my three children and paying down my hefty NY mortgage to help my husband breathe a little better each month. I aspire to retire in 3 years because of Traveling Vineyard and never in my life did I think I would be able to retire so young and have a bright looking retirement in store. The flexibility afforded us is second to none. Working full time and running my expanding business is so easy. If it’s a little recognition you need in your life and who doesn’t right, well this company truly loves all of us Wine Guides and they love to recognize our hard work. It feels good going to work! I have fun doing wine tastings, what’s not fun about socializing and sharing wine with amazing people. This is truly the first ‘job’ I’ve ever had that I am incredibility happy to go to work and I cannot wait to see where the next four years takes me.

Wow, I can't believe it's been a year since I started my Traveling Vineyard journey! This business is even more than I expected and I love this job. The friendships I made have been amazing. I especially enjoy the Wine Tastings and sharing my love of wine with new people. I was not a wine expert when I started this business (nor am I now) but I didn't need to be. The training this company has for both new Wine Guides and the veterans is invaluable. And my fellow Wine Guides are always available to help or answer a question. Rick is a tremendous leader and Kate and the cheerleading team are excellent, even when we aren't nice! Francis makes fabulous wine that our hosts and guests love, which makes them sell themselves. I'm proud to be a member of the Traveling Vineyard Tribe!!

Being a wine guide with TTV is AWESOMM!! On my One Year Wineaversary I realize that this is the first direct sales gig I have actually lasted more than a few months! Why? Wine, duh! Really though, my husband is my chief supporter and helps out at tastings when he can so we have a few more hours together.
I have learned about wine, myself, and met some great people. Tastings are always fun, sometimes crazy, and I learn something new at each one either because we have a new wine or because my customers share their wine love knowledge!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the AWESOMM app! It makes ordering so much easier! And if we did not have the BEST CHEERLEADERS in the world who answer questions with a smile, wine life would be a lot harder. They have always been willing to answer any question no matter how silly it may be. THANKS TO THEM!!
I am looking forward to the financial rewards giving me the freedom to retire sooner than I thought I would be able to -- and-- with no debt :) Win, win!
Thank you Rick for your hard work in making this the best company to work for!
CHEERS!

When I joined Traveling Vineyard in January of 2016, I never in a million years dreamed that I'd have as much fun as I do.
I have met so many incredible new people (hosts, guests, other wine guides) and made amazing new friendships. Each and every event I conduct is a blast and seeing the look on guests faces when they find a new wine to love to learn something new about wine, just reinforces how this job was the best decision I ever made.
I can't imagine doing anything else now. Plus, I'm able to set my own schedule so I can be home with my toddler during the day.

I do love this job. I love the fact that I can do this on my own time and around my kids sporting activities. I control my own destiny not someone else controlling my time and my money. I love how absolutely FUN this job is! I have never sat back and said to myself "what am I doing, this is so hard and I am never going to get anywhere with this company?" I look at myself and say "the harder I work the more benefits I see and get and also I can promote in this company and not feel like the little peon that doesn't matter in corporate America!" Who can say that? Me!! This girl right here! I do only wish one thing and that is more support from my wine momma. I know I am 2 states from her but I would love to get a call from her once a week. I hardly ever hear from her.
