When I decided to become a Wine Guide, I was a brand new mom. Traveling Vineyard was an opportunity for me to meet new people, make some extra money, and learn more about wine. Two years later, I have found that it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! I’ve become part of such a wonderful community and have made so many amazing friendships. I can’t wait to see what the next two years bring.

Traveling Vineyard has been such a huge blessing over this last year. I have been able to help support my family financially, make my own schedule and meet some amazing people who I consider close friends now. With having 2 young children and being a stay at home mom, this has been one of the best discussions I could have made for myself and my family!

Traveling Vineyard started as a way for me to earn some side cash and fund my wine habit as a stay at home mom. I never anticipated that I would love this experience on such a personal level. It’s just a part time gig, but the friendship and fun that has come along with the financial gain is something that I do not take for granted.

I love being a wine guide. These past few months dealing with COVID-19 have been weird as both a healthcare worker and a human being. Having something else to focus on and be “normal” has been a saving grace for me. Wine truly brings people together, whether it’s my customers or fellow wine guides. I’m so grateful to have Traveling Vineyard in my life – it’s truly my other family!

The wine guide journey has been amazing since I started in 2016.
When I started 5 years ago because of my love of wine and to earn a few extra dollars, I didn’t know it would such an important part of supplementing my income. My husband passed away in August of 2020 after a 3 year battle with cancer. I’m in the process of closing the business we owned together. My Traveling Vineyard income has been a blessing and I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to earn money and have enjoyment from it. I love my hosts, customers and Traveling Vineyard.

Happy one year wineaversary to me!! I joined Traveling Vineyard during the 2020 madness as a way to meet people , engage, and learn something new. And that is just what I’ve done! I love the lessons on wine tasting and different varietals and how much I can share at tastings. Thanks to zoom parties this past year, I’ve made friends all over the country. AND I got to attend Harvest this year and learn more and meet more new people. I signed up last minute and roomed with people I didn’t know…we now have an accountability group and keep in touch. Traveling Vineyard has been an awesome experience and I look forward to seeing where else it can take me!

The Wine Guide Life appealed to me a year ago for 3 of the 5 F's: Fun, Flexibility, and Financial Reward. Wine had been a love of mine for a few years before then, and I aspired to learn all I could about the not-so-simple beverage! Here was this chance to do exactly that, while getting to learn about and share the knowledge of this whole new world of wines with friends, old and new. I had been a single mom for 7 years at that point, and my daughter was just getting into the expensive world of competitive cheer. I saw this fun opportunity to make some extra cash that would help allow me to make that dream come true for her. But wait.. I was also coaching cheer. How would this business fit into that schedule, on top of a full-time job?! The 3rd (and probably most appealing to me since day 1 of my WGL), flexibility. My TV business is exactly that.. MY BUSINESS! I can spend my lunch hours at the office setting up events on FB and in my back office, I can fill my calendar with events one month and then take 2 months off if I need to.
Here I am an entire year later, loving those 3 F's, plus the other 2 that fell right into place immediately after joining! I have had a blast at my events and the get-togethers with other wine guides, getting to try new wines all the time! I have formed lifelong friendships with event guests and my TV family! I work my business at my own pace, on my own time! I feel completely fulfilled, not like I am just working and running to be nothing BUT a single mom. TV has noticed me and rewarded me for what I accomplish, not just for the company but for ME as well! I am able to let my daughter follow her dreams in multiple activities!
Wine Guide Life is absolutely the life for me. I told my wine mama when she met me "oh man, they totally saw me comin!" Since then, I have heard over and over "wow, that is the PERFECT gig for you!" And they were all right!

I was hesitant on becoming a wine guide during a pandemic. Initially I was just doing it to learn more about wine and share with a couple close friends. My friends enjoyed the wine and thought it would be fun to get a small group together safely since it had been months since we had really done something. It was nice to hang out with friends and learn wine together. Soon after, my circle became bigger and I was meeting new people and building wonderful relationships. I can't wait until life is truely back to normal and tastings can be larger and more frequent.

I have been a wine guide for 4 amazing years now. I initially joined as a way to meet new friends. Not only have I gained friends from all over the country. I have a supplemental income which covers family travel and unexpected bills as well as a retreat from my grueling day job. This company always puts wine guides first and the entire staff are absolute delights to work with!!!!!

When I joined 5 years ago and I saw other wine guides celebrating their 5 year Wineaversaries...I was in awe! Now that is me! This was just going to be a short gig for me while searching for my perfect job.. I needed an immediate income in a flexible way as my daughter was starting Kindergarten. I soon realized that being a wine guide met all my needs. I was paying my bills, I was making friends, I was growing and learning, and I was having fun. This past year proved again why I love being a part of Traveling Vineyard. When COVID hit and in-home wine tastings ended, we all thought that was the end of our businesses. But TV pivoted in order to make sure that we could all keep going. As the pandemic continued, they kept giving us tools that we needed to run our business. We just came back from out wine conference and it was so fulfilling to be with my wine family again. It had been a long time and I had missed them! I look forward to my 6th year and sharing wines and good times with many people!

I was interested in this opportunity for years, but the timing wasn't right. When the pandemic hit and the wedding industry struggled (I'm a Wedding Planner), I dove in head first. Not only have I earned an income and learned so much about wine, I have developed relationships with the best team members, challenged myself in so many new ways and had an absolute blast doing so. I would have never believed you if you had said that during a pandemic, I started a business standing in front of people and educating them about wine. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to remember that I get paid to do this! I worked hard and earned the LUXX Getaway in my first year, and moving forward I will continue to work my business as my life allows.

I recently celebrated 5 years with Traveling Vineyard and I can not be more excited! Traveling Vineyard has really opened my eyes to a huge passion I have - wine. Because of Traveling Vineyard, I have worked on various certifications to further my career. I have met some of the most amazing friends through Traveling Vineyard. This past year has been especially difficult with Covid, and honestly, Traveling Vineyard was my saving grace. I'm excited to see what the next year will bring.
