When I decided to become a Wine Guide, I was a brand new mom. Traveling Vineyard was an opportunity for me to meet new people, make some extra money, and learn more about wine. Two years later, I have found that it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! I’ve become part of such a wonderful community and have made so many amazing friendships. I can’t wait to see what the next two years bring.

Joining Traveling Vineyard 4 years ago was the best decision I've ever made! At the time, I was looking for something flexible, fun and that paid more money than I was currently making at my part-time seasonal job. It seemed like a tall order! I came across an ad on Facebook that said, "Get paid to share wine with the world!" I sent my info that night and was in contact with my upline within the hour. Without ever being to a tasting or tasting the wine, I jumped in and have never looked back! It's definitely fun, I have the flexibility that I want and I make the money I need to help to support my family. What I didn't expect were the friends that I'd make. That wasn't even on my radar! Whether it's other wine guides from all over the country or my hosts and guests, my friend circle is definitely bigger and richer for the people that I've met. I also had no idea that what I really craved was a sense of self and a sense of accomplishment in my work. I have that in spades! I've accomplished things I never thought possible. I'm in control of my schedule, my paycheck and my success. I'm truly a better version of myself. If I'd have known 4 years ago where I'd be today, the only thing I'd change is that I would have started sooner!

One year ago, when I made the decision to start this Wineguide journal, I was very nervous with several doubts about taking on a side business I new nothing about. I mean I thought to myself what are you doing? You already work a full 40+ hour a week job with a husband and household to run.
I never even heard of Travelling Vineyard (stumbled across it on the internet) or went to an in-home Wine Tasting. I thought about this routine life that surely needed some spice and I needed time to be Lorie again, not a woman wearing 10 different hats throughout the week. So, I requested info and was put in touch with a sweet lady in South Carolina, that I never even met. She sent me the Taste of the Business link. I watched and listened and pondered over the 5 F’s to see how they would fit into my life and decided it was time for a change for me.
It has been the most amazing journal for me with lots of Flexibility which allows me time to accomplish all the other things I need to accomplish in week. I learned more than I ever imagined from an awesome group of people who I now call my Wine Family. I’m making new Friendships and am having so much Fun running my own business. I use my Financial Rewards to do the things I want to do for me, outside of always paying the dreaded monthly bills. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania where most of my family and friends are, so every day, I work hard building my customer base by meeting new people and sharing my love for wine every chance I get, which completely puts a smile on my face and gives me a sense of Fulfillment. And even though I still work a fulltime job, my husband tells me all the time he is so happy I am doing something I love for me and makes me smile because all he ever wants is for me to smile and be happy in life.
We have some of the most delicious wines I have ever tasted and a marketing program that will knock your socks off. This wonderful company Traveling Vineyard has certainly contributed in a huge way in putting that smile on my face and being the change I needed for me and for that I am so very grateful to Rick Libby for following his dream, the WHQ cheerleaders, the Directors and Leaders, and all the Wineguides. You all are truly a blessing and I wish you all the success in the future.

Cheers!!

Wow, how did 4 years go by so fast??? Four years ago, my husband saw a bumper sticker about in-home wine tastings and thought I would want to host one since I love wine. NOPE! I checked it out and knew this was an opportunity I couldn't resist! I signed up to be a Wine Guide with Traveling Vineyard without tasting the wine or seeing an event. It was a leap of faith I am so grateful I took! It truly is #thebestjobever! Traveling Vineyard goes above and beyond to make sure wine guides are happy and have all the tools we need for success. I’ve never been a part of an organization that cares so much for it’s own and customers. I am grateful to have learned about this opportunity to share wine!! Cheers to many more years of #wineguidelife!

I became a Wine Guide two years ago. This has been one of the best decisions of my life. I joined for financial reasons, I needed some extra money to pay for our last child's secondary education. After that was done I decided to keep going and get us out of debt. Along the way I formed new friendships, started traveling to regional events, Harvest (our National Conference), Leadership Retreats (making more friends) and have just been having an absolute blast. I still want to pinch myself sometimes, I get paid to drink wine, eat food, and have fun. What more could a person ask for, how about free travel! This past year I earned the incentive trip, five days, all inclusive, at a Secrets Resort in Costa Rica. I do all of this as a side hustle. If you like drinking wine, having fun, traveling, AND making money, you have found the right place!

When I joined 2 years ago, I was a new mom seeking a little extra income on the side. I was also seeking something that was just for ME, but I didn’t know exactly what I was getting in to! I knew I liked wine, and it seemed fun! Now, 2 years later, I have found a community in my fellow wine guides, hosts, and guests all while sharing amazing wine! Traveling Vineyard has brought me that extra income and fun I was initially searching for, plus invaluable fulfillment and unexpected friendships I never even expected!

I can’t believe it’s been TWO years already! I have met so many amazing people along my journey as a wine guide. Not only past hosts and customers that I can now call friends; but, also team members who I have become best friends with as well. I couldn’t ask for a better “job” or a better company to “work” for! Everyone is so encouraging and they are like family. I love it! I can’t wait for the many more years to come! ??

If you could do one thing for yourself that would result in more self-confidence, more travel and adventure, more friends and time for yourself, would you do it? What if that decision could pay for the extra things you want for yourself, or replace your current income? And, wait for it, what if it meant sharing WINE? This is what happened because I took a chance and said yes to something even though I was a little uncertain. I heard someone say “It’s not like you’re deciding to buy a house or have a baby. There’s little risk, and it might just be for you.” If you don’t have that little voice inside your head whispering, “I want that too,” then carry on, and don’t give it a thought. But if you do, please just do yourself a favor and find out about Traveling Vineyard. I really love seeing the people in my wine tribe being recognized for their achievements, being proud of themselves, and starting a fun little wine gig they get to call their own. 9 months from now, you could be earning a few hundred bucks a month sharing wine, having a blast with your team, and packing to go to Wine Camp with us. Or you could be right where you are right now. It’s up to you, but if you choose wine guide life, it might just be your favorite job ever!

Three years ago I walked in to the Traveling Vineyard opportunity, I had some previous direct sales experience and always held some type of side-gig in addition to my full time job. To my delight, the recognition and ability to earn other incentives has been refreshing and much needed for me. Our positive culture is something that will keep me going in this biz, definitely one of the best decisions I've made for myself and my family!

I just celebrated my third "wineaversary" with Traveling Vineyard and can't express enough how thankful I am to be a part of this business! I originally joined because I needed something flexible that would work with my busy life with my big family. I also saw an opportunity to make extra money in a non-saturated market. I didn't know anything about wine, but quickly discovered how easy it was to learn with all the tools available. I have been able to consistently book events around my family's schedules and have helped with many expenses. The heart of this company is impressive-I receive so much encouragement and support, whether I am succeeding or struggling. I have some lofty goals and have grown so much as a person on my path to reach them! I am SO thankful for this opportunity and look forward to what lies ahead.

My wine-iversary was Sept. 11th. This year was 3 years as a wine guide! I joined in 2016 when my twins were searching for colleges! I realized I was going to be an empty nester, and I needed to find a hobby to keep myself busy and sane with an empty house! What I found has been so much more! I have challenged myself and grown in so many ways. I am more social and out going. I set goals for myself and am amazed to find that I almost always reach them! And when I don't, I take it as a learning experience, and find ways to improve in my weak areas. Beyond all the person growth, I am making more money than I had imagined I would, allowing my husband and myself to take trips, go to dinners, and really enjoy our time alone together! Thank you, Traveling Vineyard!
