How We’re Different

Differences in Direct Sales Companies

Every direct selling company is a little different. Different products, different requirements, different environments. And maybe we’re a little biased, but we think Traveling Vineyard is the best of all possible direct selling worlds: we have a great model, a great product, and excellent endorsements from the BBB and the DSA.

Low Start-Up Costs

Our start-up fee is low – only $189 – and not only does it cover absolutely everything you need, every penny is accounted for.

That $189 pays for your Success Kit, which includes $150 worth of wine, $115 worth of accessories and equipment, and $25 worth of business, promotional, and training materials. Not to mention your all-access pass to our complete training program and support network.

No Hidden Fees

There are only a few other costs you might encounter throughout your tenure in direct selling wine with Traveling Vineyard. After your first two tastings, you’ll have to replenish your Tasting Sets – but sufficient orders from those events will give you credit to completely offset the cost.

There are no monthly or mandatory minimums. There are no penalties for stepping back from your tasting schedule.

After the first 90 days there’s a monthly maintenance fee – $15.99 – for your personal website.

That’s it.

No On-Hand Inventory

Traveling Vineyard does not require you to keep any inventory on hand beyond your most current 5-bottle Tasting Set. That’s because you’re not selling the wine – we are. Your job is to market it.

So there’s no need to turn your basement into a wine cellar (unless you want to, for your personal use). Leave the wine storage up to us.

The Perfect Product

Traveling Vineyard creates and bottles an exclusive line of award-winning wines. So we’re happy to vouch for the quality of the product. But there’s also the fact that direct selling wine is a brilliant business decision.

Not only do your tastings give people a chance to sample the product before they purchase, wine is a great industry to be in.

Five Reasons That Wine is a Great Product For Direct Sales

    • Your audience is broad and diverse: men and women of all adult ages love wine and are excited to attend tastings and learn more.
    • It’s a consumable product, so people always need more. That means recurring orders without much more than the initial effort.
    • The U.S. recently became the largest wine-consuming nation in the world. It’s a huge market that you can tap into.
    • People are curious about wine but intimidated by the ‘experts’. Learning about wine in someone’s home, on the other hand, is fun and easy.
    • Once people have a taste, they always want more: on average, each tasting will receive at least two referrals for future events.

    Our Shining Credentials

There are a lot of fears about direct selling schemes and scams. That’s why Traveling Vineyard is happy to brag about our A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and our membership in the Direct Selling Association.

These organizations are the first you should check if you’re considering a direct sales career. The BBB is well-known for its standards and becoming a member of the DSA requires a stringent investigation of the company’s methods and ethics. We’re happy to announce we passed with flying colors.

    Our Amazing People

Of their own accord, our Wine Guides have formed a warm and supportive
community. They connect over Facebook. They meet up at regional events, and Harvest, and the incentive trips. They’ve formed lifelong friendships.

It’s not a competitive environment: you’re up against nothing but your own goals. Your fellow Wine Guides are always happy to encourage each other in challenges and victories alike.

    Our Transparency

The final thing that sets Traveling Vineyard apart is how utterly open we try to be about how we do things.

We welcome your questions and curiosity.

We’re happy to talk about our business model and the one skeleton in our closet. We encourage you to do your research and are happy to put you in touch with other Wine Guides.

We want you to have everything you need to make the best decision for you.

    Just Ask the Guides

We encourage you to compare our costs, our fees, our product, and our credentials with other direct selling companies you’re considering. Or you can start by getting a glimpse of what life with Traveling Vineyard looks like.
