Showing a dark black berry color in the glass, this Cabernet Sauvignon is bold enough for the wine enthusiast yet accessible enough for the newbie. Moderate tannins and light oak mean it is versatile with food as well. Cabernet Sauvignon, the underpinning of the release, offers hallmark berry and spicy black pepper aromas. Tempranillo lends a cherry quality resulting in a final product bursting with black currant, black cherries, vanilla, spicy oak, and tobacco. A lingering finish of earthiness and mixed berries keeps you coming back for more.

Rich layers of currants, blackberry and dry raisins combine with spicy black pepper and vanilla from oak aging.
The grapes for this wine were purchased from areas in California perfect for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. Warm days with cool nights allow the grapes to ripen with full flavors and well developed tannins. The majority of the Cabernet (84%) came from new vineyards on the flatlands in the towns of Napa and Yountville. The Tempranillo comes from Santa Barbara.
Fermented in stainless steel, this wine spent eight months in French and American oak.
